How Big IS the Garden?

The St. Giles Community Garden of Feedin’ has expanded from 12 10' x 10' plots in 2009 to 30 in 2011 – making us among the largest around. It’s totally self-funded. All expenses for tilling, fencing, water, and signage are covered by the modest annual per-plot fee (currently only $40) and the time and effort donated by those who can help. Any leftover funds (and exuberance) can go toward our annual Harvest Festival! Just how big is this garden? Well, it’s up to 5,508 square feet, including garden plots and walkways.

Which means we have enough room for a professional basketball court with room for photographers and cheerleaders … or a doubles tennis court with room for bleachers … or a Little League infield with hot dogs, vendors, and several port-a-potties … or the area of an MLB infield that the Cubs can actually cover!

Choral Eucharist is celebrated according to The Book of Common Prayer and features scripture readings, prayers, congregational singing, anthems, sermon, and a sung communion celebration.
Our choir returns from their summer break on September 11.
