The Episcopal Church welcomes youNorthbrook sits 25 miles north of Chicago in suburban Cook County, Illinois, and has over 12,000 households and a population of 33,435.

Known as Shermerville throughout its settlement in the late 1800s, the village was incorporated in 1901 and the name changed to Northbrook in 1923.

Today's Northbrook is a healthy mix of residences, businesses, recreation and open space. Sixty-two percent of Northbrook's adults are college graduates and the value placed on education is reflected in the community's outstanding public school system.

Northbrook's diversity is evidenced in its many religious institutions, which include 17 churches, seven synagogues and a mosque.
