Donate a uniform and send a child to school
Bishop Lee has challenged the people of the Diocese of Chicago to make a difference in the lives of others a world away. The Bishop requests that EVERY Episcopalian in this diocese donate one school uniform for $12 to ensure every child under age 10 has an opportunity to go to school. Every year, 75 million children under age 10 are not in school – two thirds of them are girls. Even in countries where primary education is “free,” unless the child can purchase the mandatory school uniform, they cannot attend school. We want to change that number. When you donate a uniform, give it in honor of someone you love! You’ll receive a beautiful card to send your loved ones telling them about the gift given in their honor. Think about those on your Christmas List: family, teachers, nieces, nephews, service people, college students. Do your part. Help us educate the world!
